How might we report on polarisation without amplifying it? A workshop with Are We Europe

At Are We Europe, we create spaces for inclusive, solution-oriented dialogue that strives for nuanced understanding and constructive conversations beyond binary positions. Picking up where we left off with our workshop at the Publix opening conference, “The role of independent media in a polarised world”, we want to continue to collaboratively explore potential solutions to the challenges posed by the growing polarisation around us - from the Israel-Hamas war, to the rise of the far right. From design thinking to complicating the narratives - we’ll examine strategies and opportunities for reporters, editors and media makers to employ that help report on sensitive issues in non-alienating ways.
