General Terms and Conditions for Attending Events and Ticketing

Publix Event T&Cs

  • 1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between visitors to events at Haus Publix and Publix gGmbH. Other offers and services provided by Publix gGmbH are subject to the terms and conditions agreed upon at the time of contract conclusion and the applicable General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs).

  • 2. Event Times / Program

The purchase of a ticket entitles the holder to attend the respective event. Event times, including admission and event start, are indicated at the time of ticket purchase and in the event calendar of Publix gGmbH: https://www.publix.de/en/eventsß

Publix gGmbH reserves the right to make changes to the program and cast. Such changes do not constitute grounds for extraordinary ticket cancellation. No guarantee is given regarding cast details or time schedules.

Information on accessibility and accessible seating is available in the program calendar.

  • 3. Ticket Sales

Publix gGmbH publishes the applicable admission prices and announces them in the event calendar and in the online ticket shop.

In the online ticket shop, clicking the button “Complete order” constitutes a binding declaration to enter into a purchase contract. Buyers will then receive an email confirmation of the ticket purchase.

Payment—if the ticket is subject to a fee—is processed during the ticket purchase via the payment service provider PayPal or by SEPA direct debit. Other payTicket Salesment methods are excluded.

Discounts are granted to eligible groups upon presentation of a valid proof at the entrance to the respective event. Discounted tickets are only valid in conjunction with this proof. If proof cannot be provided, the correct ticket must be booked online on site. There is no box office for ticket purchases; subject to availability, tickets can also be purchased on site only via the online ticket shop.

Telephone or written orders are not possible. Publix gGmbH reserves the right to limit the number of tickets per buyer in individual cases. Persons with severe disabilities may be given preferential treatment.

If payment for ordered tickets is not made within the specified period, the tickets will be released again for resale.

Tickets are intended exclusively for personal use. By purchasing tickets, buyers make a binding declaration to use the tickets solely for personal purposes, in particular not for commercial purposes or any other form of profit-making. In the event of transferring a ticket, the previous ticket holder must inform the new ticket holder of the applicability of these Terms and Conditions. In the context of ticket purchases, it is prohibited to:

    • offer tickets for sale at auctions or on exchanges (in particular on the internet),
    • resell tickets commercially and/or for profit without the express prior written consent of Publix gGmbH,
    • resell tickets at a higher price as part of a private transfer,
    • transfer or use tickets for advertising purposes or as prizes without the express prior written consent of Publix gGmbH.

If a ticket is offered, used, or transferred in an unauthorized manner, Publix gGmbH is entitled to block the ticket as well as any other tickets purchased by the buyer and to deny the ticket holder access to the event without compensation. For each violation of the prohibition on commercial resale, Publix gGmbH may demand payment from the buyer of a reasonable contractual penalty of up to EUR 2,500.

  • 4. Ticket Returns and Refunds

Sold tickets may be returned up to three days before the start of the event, by 6:00 p.m. In this case, a fee of 50% of the ticket price plus any applicable payment, shipping, and service fees will be charged. In the event of a cancellation of the event, Publix gGmbH will refund the full ticket price. For organizational reasons, ticket holders are requested to return the tickets independently within 14 days. The right to a refund expires after two years at the latest.

Any further expenses or damages incurred by the affected person, as well as the online sales fee, will not be reimbursed unless Publix gGmbH caused the event cancellation intentionally or through gross negligence. In the event of event cancellation due to force majeure (such as natural disasters, strikes, etc.), there is generally no entitlement to a refund of the ticket price.

For events organized by third parties taking place on the premises of Publix gGmbH, any claims must be asserted directly against the external event organizers.

  • 9. Admission

There is no entitlement to a seat. After the start of an event, visitors may only be admitted to the event space at an appropriate time and without any guarantee of a seat, for safety reasons and out of consideration for the speakers and other attendees. It is at the discretion of the evening staff whether and at what time access may be granted after the event has begun.

  • 10. Cloakroom

Visitors are allowed to bring items such as jackets, bags, or umbrellas into the event area, provided that this does not disturb other guests and is safe. Items can be stored during the event in lockers in the basement or left at the unattended cloakroom.

Bringing jackets, bags, and umbrellas into the event area is permitted as long as other visitors are not inconvenienced and safety regulations are observed. Alternatively, lockers in the basement are available, and for certain events, an unattended cloakroom in the basement may be used. Publix reserves the right to charge a cloakroom fee in such cases.

Liability for items left in the cloakroom is limited to their current value. Valuables—such as jewelry, precious metal items, cash, payment instruments, business papers, certificates, tickets, or keys—are excluded from storage and remain the responsibility of the visitors.

Items are returned upon presentation of the cloakroom ticket without verification of entitlement. Without the ticket, items will only be returned if entitlement can be credibly demonstrated.

Any mix-ups, damage, or loss, as well as the loss of a cloakroom ticket, must be reported to the cloakroom staff immediately before leaving the cloakroom area.

Lockers can only be opened by the evening staff if entitlement can be credibly demonstrated (e.g., with photos or detailed descriptions of the contents). In such cases, the locker is opened by Publix personnel, and a locker-opening protocol must be completed and signed by the recipient.

After the event ends, all lockers that have not been emptied will be opened by the evening staff, and any found items will be recorded and stored.

  • 12. House Rights

The admission and evening staff are authorized to deny entry to the event premises or to remove persons from the building if inappropriate behavior occurs or if there are grounds to believe that the event may be disrupted or other visitors may be harassed or discriminated against. The instructions of the staff must be followed.

It is not permitted to offer event tickets for sale within the building or on the associated property.

Children and adolescents under 16 years of age are only admitted to events when accompanied by their parents. Different regulations may apply to events specifically aimed at children under 16.

Bringing animals (pets) into the building is not permitted, except for verified assistance dogs. Smoking is prohibited throughout the building. Violations may trigger the fire alarm and constitute a breach of the building’s fire safety regulations.

Otherwise, the Publix house rules apply.
