Sexual abuse in soccer is not an isolated phenomenon. How was it possible for assaults on children and young people to continue for years, and why did the silence last so long?

The ZDF film "Crime Scene Soccer: Abused Within Their Own Club" was produced by tell me why Filmproduktion in collaboration with CORRECTIV. It tells the stories of those affected who are breaking their silence, and it examines how abuse in youth soccer could take place without those in charge stepping in. The film is presented by former soccer player and journalist Jonas Hummels, who speaks with those affected, their families, and officials from clubs.

Following the screening, we want to talk with the filmmakers and other guests about how the film came about and the investigation behind it, and about what needs to change in soccer so that children and young people are better protected.
