Corruption, sanctions evasion and disinformation do not stop at national borders. Investigative journalism must not either. But what makes cross-border investigations work? German and Ukrainian journalists discuss how collaborations built on trust and equal partnership come about. The event is part of the Media Innovation Lab and Exchange Program, which CORRECTIV and the Media Development Foundation run jointly. Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
CORRECTIV.Europe and the Media Development Foundation invite you to an evening on the future of Ukrainian-European investigative journalism. Over the past months, journalists from the CORRECTIV.Europe network travelled to Kyiv. Four Ukrainian investigative journalists spent three weeks working with the CORRECTIV team in Berlin. Now those involved share what they learned and take on the key question: what does it take for Ukrainian and European journalists to investigate as equal partners, and to keep doing so?
On the panel: Martin Murphy (CORRECTIV), Nico Schmidt (Investigate Europe), Viktoriia Matola (investigative journalist from Kyiv) and Olena Myhashko (Media Development Foundation). Moderated by Kateryna Kovalenko (CORRECTIV).
Tuesday, 3 November 2026. Doors open 18:00, discussion starts 18:30. Networking reception with drinks and snacks afterwards.
