Full Stack Journalism is a community of independent newsrooms building tools and resources to support public interest media. This visual podcast series explores the tension of newsrooms reporting and holding to account the very same tech platforms they rely on to do their work. Each week, we curate a group of speakers - editors, technologists and entrepreneurs to explore and aim to map the ‘full stack’ of tools journalists use to imagine what a more ethical and transparent tech standard could look like.
This event is held in English. This event is hosted by Sabrina Faramarzi, Managing Director of Are We Europe. Are We Europe is an independent multimedia platform for innovation & design thinking at the intersection of journalism and creative media. As a journalist, editor, speaker and trends analyst on international issues around data, AI, gender and digital human rights, Sabrina has worked and written for The Guardian, Vogue Business, Vice, Wired and others. She has also consulted on audience development strategies and produced large-scale global editorial projects for media, culture and non-profit organisations across tech, society and culture. She is the founder of the data-driven creative agency Dust in Translation and one of the co-founders of the art activist collective Feminist Internet. This podcast is recorded in front of a live audience in Publix Studios. Participants must be comfortable with being recorded as part of the audience.
