In a society in which information spreads rapidly - and opinions often even faster than facts - personal encounters are more important for constructive democratic dialogue. After all, trust and understanding for different perspectives often arise through direct dialogue. But how can we get in touch with each other again? Which places invite us to really meet each other? And what role do personal encounters play in a democratic culture of information? In this discussion, we want to explore together how everyday encounters - whether in the neighbourhood, on local transport or at the weekly market - can strengthen our social interaction. And we ask: What role do we ourselves play in creating spaces for exchange, diversity of perspectives, belonging and trust?
