In 2025, one term has really taken off: ‘overshoot’. The 1.5-degree limit set by the Paris Climate Agreement could soon be exceeded, and global warming even appears to be accelerating.

- What does this mean for climate policy, society and media coverage in the coming years?

- How is the scientific community addressing the fact that climate risks are receiving less and less attention in public discourse?

- And above all: how can we still turn things around?

The Live Briefing organised by Netzwerk Klimajournalismus is a networking opportunity for journalists, researchers and anyone interested in understanding what lies ahead – and how we can communicate about possible futures so that the issue remains in the public eye.

On the Panel:
Jonathan Donges, Potsdam Institut für Klimafolgenforschung
Nicole Zabel, Planet Narratives
Moderation: Theresa Leisgang, Netzwerk Klimajournalismus Deutschland

Programme
5.00 pm Welcome drink in the foyer
6.00 pm Keynote speech and discussion

Admission is free.
