Podcasts have become a defining medium of our times. Though often easygoing in tone, they tackle urgentcontemporary problems—the crisis of democracy, unlawful wars of aggression, AI, climate change.

  • What role do new forms of storytelling play in podcasts?
  • How do cultural meanings take shape in them?
  • And how do they foster political communities and collective activism, but also authoritarian ideologies?

The event, held in German, is part of a book project in the series Humanities in Action (intercom Verlag).
