Study on the Nazi-Era History of the Schöpflin Mail-Order Company
In 2023, the Schöpflin family and the advisory board of the Schöpflin Foundation commissioned an independent academic study on the history of the Schöpflin entrepreneurial family during the National Socialist era. The results, as well as responses from Hans W. Schöpflin and the board of the Schöpflin Foundation, can now be read on the website of the Schöpflin Foundation.

Publix is an initiative of the Schöpflin Foundation, which has been committed since its founding in 2001 to fostering critical awareness, a vibrant democracy, and a diverse society. It supports a wide range of civil society organisations both financially and through network and capacity building.
The resources for the activities and funding of the Schöpflin Foundation come from the entrepreneurial work of Hans W. Schöpflin (b. 1941).
He is the son and grandson of the founders and owners of the former Schöpflin mail-order company based in Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg, which operated from 1930 until its sale in the 1960s.
