Network: die neuen Medien
The Network die neuen Medien is an association of young, independent media organizations that contribute to a democratic society and a more diverse media landscape. The network supports its members in establishing themselves professionally as organizations and provides a space for regular exchange and resource sharing.

Who is part of the network?
The network includes CORRECTIV, Krautreporter, Katapult, Missy Magazine, Perspective Daily, Neue Narrative Publishing, Republik, Piqd, Buzzard, Good Impact Magazine (formerly Enorm), Volksverpetzer, Good News Magazine, Riff-Reporter, Golem and others.
What does the network do (so far)?
- Regular network meetings: Since 2022, network meetings have been held twice a year, focusing on exchange, networking, learning and setting up joint working groups. Since 2025, these meetings have been held at Publix.
- Community Slack Space: The organisations in the network are all in the space to chat, and exchange ideas and questions on everyday and strategic issues.
- Working groups: Between network meetings, working groups regularly exchange ideas on product development, strategy and social media.
Who can join?
Any media outlet that contributes to diversity and change in the media landscape can become part of the network. These are primarily media outlets that are no more than 10 years old, and that serve a specific target group or pursue a particular journalistic approach (constructive, investigative, community-centred, etc.).
Most new media companies are non-profit, organised as cooperatives or under responsible ownership. Profit is not the primary focus of their work, and there are no owners behind the scenes whose financial interests influence their journalistic work."
The primary target group of this network is founders and employees of young, independent media companies. Specifically, this includes managing directors, editorial managers, product developers, marketing experts and anyone responsible for building and developing the organisations.
