Making media better: this is the motto of the Publix Open House on Sunday 29 June. As part of the 48h Neukölln art and culture festival, we will be opening our doors and garden to all interested parties.
Get to know us and the work of the editorial offices and organisations in the building. Join us in exploring how the media can provide reliable and relevant information for all citizens in today's world. We look forward to seeing you!
Here is an initial overview of what we have prepared for you:
Our programme will continue to grow over the course of June...
- Practical workshops: Learn how editing a Wikipedia entry works - using the example of Klexikon, the Wikipedia for children. Or discover how serious content works on TikTok, how to counter disinformation there and how to get young people excited about reliable information.
- Editorial society action lab: Explore the topic of news literacy in the virtual space of the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS action lab.
- Interactive formats: Find out more about the importance of school newspapers for freedom of expression or learn about alternative social media platforms.
- Talks & lectures: Join the discussion when Publix director Maria Exner talks to journalists about the challenges of quality journalism in the age of fake news and artificial intelligence.
- Creative space: Design a cover page for a magazine in our screen printing workshop.
